In the town of Trim, there sits a Castle. It’s one of the many built by the Normans in the country. After 1066, William the first, or Conqueror as he is better known, sought to establish his control over the British Isles. While Hastings was a big win for the new King, there were still pockets of strong resistance to the new rulers, especially the Barons he had just installed as local leaders. The best way to do that was to build Castles, and Trims’ is an excellent example of that.

To show how mighty the castle was, there was a time when it looked like Trim would become the capital of the country and not Dublin. So much of the castle still exists, and there are more than enough photo opportunities to fill your phone with pictures and videos. So it’s why you might need to go to kingcommunications.ie/vodafone-stores-near-me/trim/ and search for Vodafone Trim to get another one.

Trim has more than just the castle to draw in visitors. It sits on the river Boyne and has lots of opportunities for water sports. There are also many festivals throughout the year. These bring in a lot of national and international interest. The Royal Meath Festival is the county’s main event, but there is also the Poetry and Haymaking festival as well. Trim was also home to the famous author and satirical poet Jonathan Swift. A week-long festival celebrating his life and achievements is held every year.
