So you have finally found your dream home and started the process of moving house – the next few weeks are likely to be quite hectic and stressful, but there are a few things that you can do to keep everything going as smoothly as possible and to take some of the pressure off you on moving day…

Start packing straight away – packing early is one of the best things that you can do, as you will have the time to do it in small chunks rather than one huge packing frenzy at the end, and it also allows you to be much more organised. By starting your packing early, and labelling all the boxes clearly, you will also be able to get rid of things that you no longer want so you won’t be bringing it on to your new home.

Book Services Early – As soon as you know your move in date, book things like removals services straight away. Find a reputable company such as this removal company Bury St Edmunds based Arrowpak. If you will be putting anything in storage, it is also a good idea to book this well in advance.

Make a List – You will need to let many places know of your move and subsequent address change – the best thing to do is sit down and make a list of everything – from store cards, to kids schools, banks and doctors – try to work through the list gradually so that you can give plenty of notice.
