One thing that is important is that you make sure that you get all the right vitamins for your body when you are cutting animal products out from your diet. Below are the three supplements that vegans should take to ensure they are getting everything they need into their bodies…

Calcium – The mineral that makes your bones healthy, not enough calcium and you are at risk of brittle bones which break easily as well as osteoporosis. Calcium is hard to come by in a vegan diet as it is mostly found in dairy products.

Iron- A lack of iron is call anaemia and it causes extreme fatigue. Iron makes the healthy red blood cells that our bodies use to carry oxygen around. Iron is commonly found in red meat, which is obviously why it is important for vegans to take an iron supplement.

Vitamin B12 – This is another important vitamin that helps to make red blood cells as well as being essential for a healthy immune system. It is found in animal products mostly, so it is important if you are a vegan to take B12 supplements.
