General Repairs – It is a good idea to check around your garden for any repairs that may need doing – because of the bad weather in the winter, by doing something now you could be saving yourself a much bigger job in the long run. Check for signs of damage to fences and sheds, such as rotten wood or structural weakness. The Wildlife – Looking after the local wildlife is particularly important over the winter. With the lack of food and habitat destruction causing a problem for the wildlife that makes a home in our gardens it is good to pay particular attention to looking after it over the winter. Put up bug hotels for insects looking for somewhere to shelter and bird tables where you can feed the hungry garden birds over the winter when food is scarce.
