A new survey has revealed that homeowners with heat pumps are significantly more satisfied with their home heating than those with traditional gas boilers. The research, covering 3,000 British households, found an impressive 94% of heat pump owners were happy with their system, which is the highest rating for any heating technology.

Among the homeowners with heat pumps, half described themselves as extremely satisfied, while a further 44% reported they were pleased with the clean energy system. By comparison, 85% of gas boiler owners expressed some level of satisfaction, although far fewer were enthusiastic; in fact, just one in three said they were very satisfied. Nonetheless, analysts and campaigners agree the findings show that, once installed, heat pumps deliver comfort, lower emissions, and high user satisfaction.
